Such an impressive facility/shelter housing kittens and cats waiting to go to their forever home. On-site veterinary clinic that specialises in felines, little cafe and all the goodies your furry friend could want and need. Super helpful and informative staff. Parking on-site. I was fortunate that an absolute sweetheart kitten chose me to come home with and I adore him; he's a little mummies boy. I consider myself very blessed indeed that Charlie is part of my life.
We found our two lads here in June 2020 (Mocha & Charlie). Bonded littermate buddies who were approx 12 weeks old. The staff at CPSV were wonderful in explaining the adoption process; to include giving us plenty of time to visit and bond with the boys in one of their cat/visitor rooms (stocked with cat toys, benches, ledges - nicely quiet to really get to know our new fur kids.
I made two visits initially to see who was available for adoption; and spent time with 3 different adult cats and kittens before choosing our two brother kittens.
After a FaceTime chat with my partner; we made arrangements to adopt and returned on visit 3 to do the paperwork as well as pickup 2 cat trees, litter boxes, royal canon kitten food (their diet at CPSV), and a good selection of toys. Fair prices for the cat food and toys; the cat trees were a wee bit dear - but knowing the profit supports the CPSV centre - we were more than happy to purchase here.
Future cat trees have come from Amazon - we are up to 9 at the moment across our 2 story home. Yes, most rooms have a view and resting spot for the boys!
If you are looking to adopt a cat - adult or kitten - without a doubt I would recommend CPSV vs the Royal Humane Society. It was quite bureaucratic to try and make an appt to see their available cats and kittens (granted - it was at the start of Covid - but was in a non lockdown period in June 2020; RSPCA made it hard, if not off putting to adopt animals). Forever soured my opinion on the RSPCA.
All of my cats šāā¬ļø have been rescued from the Cat Protection Society. People here, clearly all cat fans, do a wonderful job of taking care of these cats & kittensšø
Concerned and caring staff ensure these often lost or abandoned felines find new homes with responsible and loving carers.
With a new, state of the art facility - I'm talking cat condominiums, kitty meet and greet room, access to outdoor run, experienced vet consultations and a well stocked shop for all your cat supplies - this is a perfect place to visit to adopt a new furry cat friend.
The welfare of cats is their No. 1 priority. Highly recommended!
* This is my handsome boy, Kokoa Black, who is almost three years old. He brings me joy daily, endlessly delighting me with his antics.
CPS shows great care in looking after our 2 Purrfect boys, thanks for letting us have Willow for a little time
We hope she has found a beautiful home to embrace her energy
The staff in the retail shop, reception and veterinary staff are so lovely and friendly. I take my two rescue cats here for all their care and couldnāt be happier. Our favourite vet is Peta. Peta is superb, keeps my cats calm during their check-ups with her friendly and caring nature. I highly recommend this clinic for all cat owners.
My nieces cat got hit by car on Christmas eve, in alot of pain. She tried to get him into vet, but no availability. I left message at cat protection that night...they rang me first thing on Wednesday morning.
I explained my nieces situation, to the vet, and they booked him straight away! My niece said, they were absolutely, wonderful, and the vet was so caring, Friday (cat) had broken his hip in 3 places.
A BIG THANK YOU, TO ALL
Lovely people and amazing little furbaby from them. Products cost same if not less than major pet stores. They were so supportive too. We canāt be happier with our beautiful pumpkin. What a gem !!! They love updates and really care about the cats there. Very humbling experience and very grateful to the wonderful staff. Thank you.
I visited this clinic after my friend referred me, this was to get second opinion after my previous vet clinic mentioned that my 12 month old baby has a heart murmur and gingivitis, I found it skeptical and wanted second opinion as I could not find any symptoms the previous vet mentioned, his weight, energy, good intake and energy levels are perfect so I had to go for 2nd opinion before deciding to put the baby through stressful process, the Vet here analysed him and said there is no heart murmur or gingivitis and he is perfectly normal, I informed them about what previous vet said and she mentioned a heart murmur in one weeks time if it was still there and if there were any symptoms she would have definitely recommended the test but he is perfectly fine and his weight is perfect, also there is no issues with his gums or teeth.
I would definitely recommend this clinic.
